All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for the protection, security, and benefit of the people, and they have the right, at all times, to alter or reform the same, whenever the public good may require it. - The Iowa Constitution Bill of Rights ARTICLE I. – BILL OF RIGHTS - SEC. 2 POLITICAL POWER

Dear Fellow Iowan,

Would you be interested in helping establish and support an Iowa Liberty Alliance?

If so, please join me on a Go To Webinar conference call/screen share this Wednesday evening at 7pm CST.

(Details of webinar/conf call below)

The purpose of this call is to measure the interest level of as many of the liberty oriented groups in Iowa, including (but not limited to): Campaign for Liberty, Fully Informed Jury Association, GOOOH, Oath Keepers, Committees of Safety, Iowa Gun Owners Assoc, liberty and constitution focused groups within social network websites, second-amendment, health-freedom, civil-liberties, privacy-advocates, home-schooling, constitutional-study, end-the-fed, sound-currency and Ron Paul meet-up groups… as well as any and all individuals who are interested in our country and our state’s founding principles.

The success of this effort will rely in a great part on your help in distributing this invitation to people you know would want to participate or learn more.

What will be explored on this call – Short Version

There are many plans and many groups working hard on solving problems in Iowa.
But in small groups we will not prevail.
All ships rise equally. We are all rowing in the same direction.
I am proposing we row more in unison or in a rhythm that creates a measurable
level of change in Iowa towards restoring the Constitution.

What will be explored on this call – Longer Version:

I am proposing a formal collaboration amidst our respective organizations, members and/or website users—with the strategy of cross promoting announcements, programs, events and each other.

One purpose of said strategic Alliance is to exhibit the capacity to build a critical mass of at least 5% of Iowans ready willing and able to take peaceful civic action in unison (sometimes with similar alliances in other states) when circumstances require us to protect our freedoms and enforce our rights.

This so called Alliance may manifest itself on a state page for Iowa at the Articles of Freedom.
http://www.ArticlesOfFreedom.us/Iowa.aspx

(I don’t need another page to manage, but have developed this page with the concept of enabling Civic Action towards enforcing Liberty in Iowa in mind)

The goal for this page is to be a watering hole for the liberty movers and shakers in Iowa as well as a starting point for all the resources our respective organizations and sites have to offer. This is in a beta state and I am happy to include RSS feeds and or cross promotion at this site for organizations that sign on to reciprocating within their lists, members or organization.

One such opportunity to act in the unison mentioned above is coming up quick on Monday April 19, 2010 in Des Moines, IA.

Following four days of civic education and protests across America April 15-18th, on Monday April 19th the Articles of Freedom will be served to the Iowa legislative leadership, with goal of providing Iowans a snapshot of the health and vitality of Iowa’s status as a liberty loving state. Here is the national Plan that the We The People Foundation has proposed: http://www.articlesoffreedom.us/ThePlan.aspx

I am proposing that we join forces, via cross promotion and regularly scheduled state wide conference calls where each organization can update all who care to listen—in order to assist those in Iowa who would like to see this plan implemented in some fashion, but also to utilize this Plan as a catalyst for all of us to collaborate and strengthen our respective abilities to achieve our own mission and goals.

We will not change things overnight on April 19th, but we do need to go through these motions outlined below in order to establish the record and affirm that the People have exhausted their remedies for peaceful restoration of lawful order.

And it is a unique opportunity for all of us to raise the bar for solidarity in Iowa.

There are many plans and many groups working hard on solving problems.
But in small groups we will not prevail.
All ships rise equally. We are all rowing in the same direction.
I am proposing we row more in unison or in a rhythm that creates a measurable
level of change in Iowa towards restoring the Constitution.

I am proposing we organizations consider the following actions in solidarity:

1) Declare April 19th the first Citizen Vigilance Day in Des Moines
2) Coordinate the presentations, declarations and demands and outcome from our elected servants for that day.
3) Help ensure key leaders within the government and private sector are present in Des Moines for the delivery of our package.
4) Consider establishing the Iowa Articles of Association, an economic sanctions strategy to enforce compliance with oaths of office.
5) Develop the strategy and structure for an Iowa Citizen Vigilance Day for up to 12X per year.

This list is a draft. I want your input on the Wednesday night call.

I believe many of the objectives each of our own organizations espouse are reflected or echoed within the Articles of Freedom. At a minimum, such a document can provide us all a chance to reaffirm for each other what our respective priorities and goals are, as well as foster best of breed in achieving results. We can explore how the Articles supports your organization’s efforts on the webinar.

All the moving parts of Iowa’s political and legislative machines… how far or near are they to recognizing and remedying the fourteen areas of constitutional violations outlined in the Articles of Freedom?
http://www.articlesoffreedom.us/ArticlesofFreedom/Summary.aspx

We are all working hard in our own focused areas of expertise and on our specific area of constitutional violations. I am hopeful you may find the Articles of Freedom a platform for all of us to take measure of ourselves, our supporters and our servant government.

New Hampshire has completed a beta test of such an evaluation of the Articles and how the NH state legislature scores. It is found here: http://www.thirdrailblog.com/cc2009-new-hampshire-memo

What I am NOT proposing:

—A new 501c3
—Any membership dues
—Access to your own member lists/emails

There are numerous resources that we all have, if leveraged strategically, can propel Iowa into a state of economic security and individual liberty.

Here is my bio for those that want to know more about my background and experience.

Got Jury Duty?
You Are the 4th Branch of Government.
The Courts Tell Us So:
“The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of it’s enactment, and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it… No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law, and no courts are bound to enforce it.” — 16 Am Jur 2d, Sec 177 late 2d, Sec 256
