Michigan's Case Study in Delivering the Articles of Freedom

Duties:

* You are there to represent the WTP of the State of Michigan (unless you are in your reps office you can represent yourself)
* Everyone shake their hand!
* One person enters will open the door holds the signature list
* Second person entering will be the foreperson holding the articles.
* Third person will be carrying all the remaining articles and keep track of the offices visited and next offices to be distributed to and mark off the list. You will be responsible for placing the generic letter on top (not inside) of the articles in preparation for the next meeting, quietly appear as their organizer.
* It is important not to talk over the foreperson, the foreperson will offer an opportunity for you each to add your thoughts. This is your opportunity to make any points that the foreperson may have left off. Keep it casual the more it flows as a normal conversation the more affective it will be.
* Do Not Use the words Request, Demands, Birth or any combative terms that may make them uneasy.

Uniform points to cover during your visit.

* Ask to speak to the representative follow up to speak with the legislative assistant or chief of staff if unavailable continue to speak to the person you are talking to.
* Tell them this should take about five minute, is there somewhere to sit

(reassure them that this will not take up to much of their time)

* You represent the “We The People” foundation

(it is inappropriate mention political party this is trans partisan collective effort)

* We held “Continental Congress 2009” November 11-22
* Delegates from 48 states attended held through an election process
* If a delegate to the CC2009 is not present make sure you tell them they are here today meeting with other representatives as well.
* lasted 11 long days and 10 short and mostly sleepless nights
* Created the “Articles of Freedom”
* Restore back to a constitutional form of government
* When they start to flip threw the articles refer them to the summary section in order for them to get a quick grasp on the 15 articles.
* There are 15 redress of grievances tell them how the “Articles of Freedom” are set up:

1. explains the violation to the constitution
2. recommendations to federal government to correct
3. recommendations to the state to correct
4. recommendations for civil action to correct

* Do not speak on the details of the articles they stand as stated

* Inform them that the articles point out unconstitutional mandates enforced on the states and its people
* You would like to get a detailed comprehensive response back after they have had time to read and evaluate the articles to contact person on the cover letter.
* Empathize with the person you are speaking with in regards to the state of the state and country.
* Inform them that a lot of the “Tea Partiers” concerns are addressed in one document the “Articles of Freedom”.

(feel free to tell them of other organizations you belong to)

* These are all being distributed simultaneously across the country on the 19th of April. Michigan is always at the forefront of issues facing this nation that is why they are receiving them first.
* The upper echelon of Michigan’s government received copies of the “Articles of Freedom” on the 8th of April.
* Response’s has been

1. “I’ve been following this”,
2. “About time”,
3. “I’ve been waiting for this to be delivered”,
4. “We need to right the wrong in this country”.

* Michigan’s Supreme court will receive them by the close of business today.

* Distributed from the president of the united States to the US Supreme Court down to our local officials.
* They will also be distributed by us to on or before the 19th of April. (homework):

+ Mayor’s - Council member’s - Police Chief’s - County Sheriff’s

* Second person have the person sign the signature page!

(reassure them it is only to keep track of who had received the document)

* Thank them for their time ask for their and the representatives business card.

(ask for a few extras to for us to complete the follow up process,

these are for Third person to hold if you forget go back and

get them this is a very important step)
