What if Freedom Were Temporary?

by Andrew P. Napolitano

What if our rights didn't come from God or from our humanity, but from the government? What if the government really thinks we're not unique individuals with immortal souls, but just public property? What if we were only entitled to our natural rights if it pleased the government? What if our rights could be stripped away whenever the government considers us to be its enemy?

What if this could all be accomplished with the consent of the people? What if the people's own representatives subverted the Constitution? What if the people were so afraid that they accepted the subversion? What if the government demonizes an external enemy and uses fear of that enemy to suppress our freedoms? What if people are afraid to protest?

Indiana Sheriff rebuffs FDA; protects farmers

Elkhart County, IN farmers David Hochstetler and Richard Hebron were subpoenaed by the US Dept of Justice at the behest of the FDA. But, Sheriff Brad Rogers stepped in and notified the DOJ that if they wanted to have any dealings with those under his protection and jurisdiction, they would have to go through him.

Moody writes, “Even in the face of severe coercive pressure (the DOJ threatened Sheriff Rogers with a FELONY ARREST for doing his job and fulfilling his oath of office), Sheriff Rogers stood tall and did not back down.”

Oregon Sheriff Gil Gilbertson Continues to Stand Against U.S. Forest Service

Josephine County, Ore. -- Two months ago Gil Gilbertson, the sheriff of this rural county in southern Oregon, drafted a 10-page report exploring the origins and extent of federal power within a state and emailed his findings to various parties, asking for comment.

Since the report was in rough-draft form he was somewhat surprised that it went viral, but it shows there are a lot of people hungry for information about how much power (particularly law-enforcement power) the federal government actually wields within a state, where that power comes from, and the limits to that power.

Gilbertson continued his research and recently completed a 13-page revised and updated version, retitled: Unraveling Federal Jurisdiction within a State. It is highly footnoted with references to statutes and court decisions.

Raw Milk Freedom Riders Ride Dec 8 from WI to IL

So as half a dozen mothers engaged in civil disobedience Thursday by transporting raw milk from Wisconsin to a Chicago park, where they accepted payment for some of the milk (see photo at left), and passed out the rest to the 200 or so demonstrators protesting the FDA’s crackdown, the FDA chose to go after a farmer. Almost as if it was sending its own message of defiance, the agency began the process of filing legal papers in federal district court, in its effort to convince a federal judge to issue a permanent injunction against Pennsylvania Amish farmer Daniel Allgyer, and thereby end his shipments of raw milk to members of a Maryland food club.

And seemingly as if on cue, Wisconsin’s attorney general filed criminal charges against the state’s most famous raw dairy farmer and resister, Vernon Hershberger. Apparently unable to get a local prosecutor to act, the state’s Attorney General designated a special prosecutor to file the four misdemeanor charges against Hershberger for allegedly violating state dairy laws and selling food without a retail license.

Michael Badnarik to Teach Bill of Rights Class on the Oklahoma State House Floor Jan 14

Kaye Beach is the woman responsible for this event, and when I called to ask where this class was to be held, I couldn't believe my ears. She had just reserved the floor of the State House in Okalahoma City! I asked her twice to make sure that I understood her correctly. Barring any unforseen circumstances, on Saturday, January 14th I will be standing behind the same lecturn used by the Speaker of the House.

County Sheriff Project - Jan 30th Las Vegas NV

"The greatest threat we face today is not terrorists; it is our own federal government. If America is conquered or ruined it will be from within, not a foreign enemy.

What we are finding is that when county sheriffs stand up to the unconstitutional agencies and their actions, the feds are peacefully standing down."

National Defense Authorization Act S1867

Check out page 430 of this document: where it reads:

(1) UNITED STATES CITIZENS.—The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States.

What does this mean?
Does this mean that the concern by those in the liberty movement is moot? If you expatriate out of the nationalized US corportacracy citizenship, and choose to be a state national as the People's Awareness Coalition advocates, are you now even further beyond any protection from federal tyranny?
This clause of the NDAA act has gone non-reported.
