Who wants to go to MN September 2nd?

By now readers know that Ron Paul officially withdrew (decent ABC interview about the CFL: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0BGwujR8iAs) from the 2008 GOP presidential nomination race and began phase II of the Ron Paul rEVOLution, the Campaign for Liberty (aka CFL) www.campaignforliberty.com, which includes a rally that according to Ron Paul, the media themselves have coined "alternative convention" to be held September 2nd across the river from the establishment GOP convention in St. Paul -- two days prior to McCain's coronation.
(that is a long run on sentence, sorry.)

I write this for all the RP supporters who are frustrated with the hypocrisy and bromides of the GOP district and state conventions.

Consider developing your own slate of RP supporters from your own Congressional District to attend the Campaign for Liberty convention in MN Sept. 2nd...and submit this slate directly to the Campaign for Liberty headquarters.

Ron Paul’s said during his "concession" speech at Texas GOP convention last week, that regarding the Sept 2nd rally the media has themselves coined an "alternative convention" “all the delegates will come to this rally and be welcome.”

www.campaignforlilberty.com says:
"Our campaign netted 1.1 million votes in the primaries of a shrinking Republican Party. Millions more support us. I need you to help me reach them – and to keep making new converts to the cause. What a force we can be, if only we rise to the occasion.
Right now I will need your patience and input as we develop our program and assemble just the right team of individuals. But it is my intention to launch the Campaign for Liberty in its full capacity at our rally in Minneapolis this September."

I think just how Ron Paul’s CFL will allow folks to be one of the 11,000 seated at that rally/convention is yet to be revealed… RP is not going to give specific instructions on anything. He in fact specifically asks for input on the website.

Let’s give him some input.

I think there is going to be a demand for a limited number of chairs, literally.
In his Texas speech, he talked about there being 2800 GOP delegates plus alts at the GOP convention… and with an arena that can hold 11,000 “maybe we’ll get 3 or 4 more times more” attendees to his event, which the media has coined an alternate convention.

Let’s provide his campaign a slate of “delegates” and request credentials as the contingency for { your state here }'s { your # } Congressional District.

Hell, why not even offer to be their provisioner of credentials for this district… how many seats do they want us to fill from our region?

Let’s get in front of this and drive the criteria for inclusion. Not wait around for { install the name of the long time GOP establishment hack in your state who infiltrated the Ron Paul state campaign leadership here if necessary } to tell us who we can and can’t talk to.

If the CFL hosting the event need bonafides they can check each proposed delegate/guests' bonafides by checking their massive fundraising records, meetup group postings, simple google searches to see if they've published anywhere.

Ron Paul has already published the name of every donor to his campaign in real time when they donated, so there should be no dust up about the ownership of said list if opponents of Ron Paul start trying to tie him up in FEC regulations, so he can't leverage the value of that list. (Note to self: post link to John McCain's FEC issues here)

This is making the assumption that going to Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty rally/convention in MN is worthwhile and will accelerate the successful candidacies of like minded people in our own Districts.

Let’s start planning for the 2010 Campaign for Liberty { your # } Congressional District convention in { your home town here. }

I see RP’s CFL as a grand experiment… one that if we tap into, can help us focus and win local 2010 races across the country.

Who wants to go to MN Sept 2nd?!
